Moving to a new state and checking out a new area? Get transportation so you can easily get around. You can even use Uber for transportation with friends or a night on town to celebrate the purchase of your new home!
This App is so cool, I'm going to keep it on my phone! AroundMe allows you to find out quickly information about your current surroundings! How cool is that? Need a gas station? Hotel? Coffee Shop? Haven't a clue? Here is an app for that! If you get lost in a box at times like me, you will be keeping this one as well.
Evernote is a gem to productivity! Truly this is an app that can be used for everyday life, work or whatever you need. Evernote allows you to take notes, recordings, audio on the go. Access is easy via smart phone, tablet or computer. The reason I think this a good one to have is when people start their home search, sometimes notes are written down, left here, there or lost. Keep track of not only the homes, but details, your REALTOR information, notes, conversations and so much more!!
Let's face it. There are no shortage of websites to visit for homes for sale, the accuracy is a whole different issue. The down fall is sometimes the websites don't load correctly while out and about on the smart phone or lose it's functionality. This app is my personal home buyer home search app. The reason this app is a little different from some of the other apps is it's robust mobile features and your connected to me, your agent! Set up listing alerts, save homes of interest, direct contact with me and more. In addition, this app give you all of the homes for sale based on the GPS location right where you are standing! How cool is that?
Walk Score has an app for Apple and Droid phones. With Walk Score you can shorten your commute and may find a walkable place to live. Walk Score is very cool because it helps you by calculating the "walkability" of any location and shows you a map of nearby stores and restaurants and schools and more. You can also check commuting times, Walk Scores of locations and more. Great place to look while starting your home search.
